WRESTLING
One of the oldest forms of combat, wrestling is mentioned in
accounts of the Trojan War in the 12 century BC and is
referenced in 15 century old European drawings. In the
United States, national wrestling tournaments date back to 1888
and the sport has been a part of the modern day Olympics since
1904. Women's freestyle wrestling was added to the
Olympics in 2004. At the college level the toughest level
is Division I with a season which runs from the fall through to
the NCAA Tournament in March.
