BASKETBALL
When winter takes over and the football cleats have been
placed in storage for next season, an indoor game full of energy
and teamwork, hours and hours of practice followed by game night
followed just as quickly by the final few seconds on the a
scoreboard clock ticking down to one team's win and another
team's loss. Basketball is more than a sport, it's an art
form and like all art, it's unpredictable. And that's why
we watch.

Outta Gas !!
Even the best
basketball player in the world, as he so humbly puts it .. and
he probably is, was not enough to derail the freight train which
is the Golden State Warriors.
Without what would
probably have been three of the five Cavalier starters lost due
to injuries, LeBron James gave a Herculean effort carrying
Cleveland to wins in games 2 and 3 of the NBA championship
series, but could not prevail when the talented Golden State
team hit its stride in the 4th quarter of game six, winning 105
top 97 and taking the series 4 games to 2. Cleveland coach
David Blatt deserves credit for inventing the defense-focused
game strategy using over-achiever Matthew Dellavedova and others
to suffocate Golden State superstar Stephan Curry and his
friends in games 2 and 3, but starting in game 4 of the series the Cavs understandably started running "outta gas" in the 4th
quarter, surrendering to Golden State's starting 5 and much
deeper bench. Will a healthy Kyrie Irving and and healthy Kevin
Love be back in Cav's uniforms next season, will that make a
difference, we will see.
